Fresh & Citrus Perfume
Lemon, grapefruit, bergamot and sea spray — clean, cool scents that stay light in the Indian heat.
How to choose
Which fresh scent
Four ways to smell clean in the heat.
- White London — lemon and neroli over white musk — clean, unisex and cologne-like
- Silver — grapefruit and juniper with a cool, metallic edge
- Aabshar — sea spray and mint over sandalwood — the aquatic one
- Sahra — bergamot and Sichuan pepper — fresh, with warmth underneath
Making citrus last
Citrus is the most volatile part of any perfume: the first thing you smell and the first to fade. Spray straight after a shower, on skin and on clothes, and carry a small bottle to refresh in the afternoon.
Start with a discovery box
Every fresh scent comes in 8 ml too, in a discovery box of three or six — small enough to carry, and enough to know which is yours before you buy the 50 or 100 ml.
Questions
What should I wear in summer heat?
A fresh or citrus scent — White London, Silver, Aabshar or Sahra — stays light in the heat. If it has to last the whole day, an alcohol-free attar outlasts any spray.
Are these perfumes unisex?
White London is unisex and the most cologne-like. Silver, Aabshar and Sahra are made for men, but fresh scents cross over easily.
How long does a citrus perfume last?
Around 6 to 8 hours on the skin, with the citrus brightest in the first hour. Top up from a small bottle in the afternoon.
